Green B-Day Party, Green Bloggers, Green Fashion
Nov 5th, 2007 by summer
It was my buddy Siel’s b-day last week… and my sis (F) carpooled Siel, her sis, and me to the Ford Filling Station for dinner and then West Side Green Drinks afterwards.
A good time was had by all – it was super fun celebrating with Siel, and also great to visit with some fellow green folks at green drinks.
I yapped with a few interesting green bloggers in the photo above. Check out what they write below:
Exhibit A: The Birthday girl herself who runs sassy green local blog greenLAgirl and has recently started the LA Times enviro blog, Emerald City.
Exhibit B: Zach Behrens, who is co-editor of successful LAist blog. He’s written on environmental topics here, here, and here.
Exhibit C: This smarty pants and nice guy, Jeremy Jacquot, writes for Treehugger. His heavily science based posts give updates on what’s up with the dissappearing honeybees and whether or not global warming played a role in the California Wildfires.
Exhibit D: Me! I blog here.
Exhibit E: Buddy Damien Somerset, who create environmental news comedy Zaproot. Big D is also a huge green car fanatic.
Exhibit F: This is my sis Sachi, she doesn’t write about green topics (yet!), but she cares about them, and she’s carrying the very eco-fashionable Seatbelt Scrap Tote made out of pre-consumer reclaimed seatbelts (the scraps manufacturers were going discard) and hemp lining.
Also in the photo are Jen (cleans up campaign financing), Tracy (works for the gov. helping to green Santa Monica), Elizabeth (green furniture expert), Hannah (actress and Kombucha maker), and Siel’s sis (neuerology!).
Interested in meeting nice green peeps in your area? Find a Green Drinks near you. Everyone is invited.

It’s actually neurology
Ha! Maybe I need my head examined =P
